DeviceOrder - Wheel & Pedals Fix for Sim Racing
A downloadable tool for Windows
About DeviceOrder :
DeviceOrder is a tiny Windows tool that helps sim racing setups where a wheel, pedals, or another controller is not recognized correctly or cannot be bound unless the other devices are disconnected first.
In one click, it hides every other controller so the device you need becomes device 1, lets you bind it, then restores everything instantly without physically unplugging anything. It is fully reversible.
The problem it solves :
I race with a mixed setup: a Moza R9 wheel and Simsonn pedals, two different brands. In games like Forza Horizon, the wheel needs to be device 1 to bind correctly, but with several devices plugged in, it often is not. The usual workaround is to physically unplug every other peripheral, bind the wheel, then plug everything back in again, which quickly becomes a nightmare on a full sim rig.
So I built DeviceOrder. It reproduces that unplug trick in software, so I can bind the device I need in seconds and keep my setup intact without touching a cable.
How it works :

Good to know :
- No Installation required
- No driver is installed
- No permanent changes are made to Windows
- Everything is reversible
Compatibility :
- Windows 10 and 11.
- Originally developed and tested for Forza Horizon 6, but it can also help with other games that refuse to bind your hardware correctly until other peripherals are disconnected.
If a game forces you to isolate one device before binding, DeviceOrder is made for that.
